Big Beast — Soundstorm 2024
Soundstorm's main stage in the Riyadh desert — a Guinness World Record LED wall, built to float.
Big Beast was the main stage of MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2024, held outside Riyadh in December of that year. Vita Motus Design Studio designed it.
The structure ran 160 metres wide and 34 metres high around a continuous LED wall of roughly 5,000 square metres — certified by a Guinness World Records adjudicator on site as the largest continuous outdoor LED screen ever built, taking a record set at Adele's Munich residency only months earlier. Cantilevered volumes and a perforated metal skin produced the floating effect the design was built around, with DMX-controlled LED tape threaded through a header standing over 30 metres tall.
Creative production ran inside the Vita Motus production-design scope — documentation, budget and schedule, and delivery on site.
